Op 'Catwalk' trekt een bonte verzameling objecten als modellen aan ons voorbij. Het lijkt een parade van micro-organismen die in opeenvolgende stadia van celdeling verkeren. Deze met het blote oog onzichtbare celvormige wezens kunnen we normaal gesproken alleen onder een microscoop bestuderen.

De aanleiding hiervoor was de Corona pandemie. Opeens werden we in de media bij wijze van waarschuwing bestookt met close ups van een fraai stekelig - doch levensbedreigend - virus. Toen brak het besef door dat de mens in zijn bestaan bedreigd kan worden door een heel scala aan boosaardige miniwezentjes die om ons heen paraderen, wachtend op hun kans om toe te slaan....

A collection of abstract objects strolls like fashion models on this 'Catwalk'. The show looks like a parade of micro-organisms in successive stages of cell division.  Normally we can only study these  - for the bare eye invisible - cell-like creatures only under a microscope.

The trigger for this sculpture was the Corona pandemic. Suddenly, as a warning, we were bombarded in the media with close ups of a beautifully spiny - yet life-threatening - virus. Then the realisation dawned that human existence could be threatened by a whole army of malevolent mini creatures, parading around us, waiting for their chance to strike....
